Friendly staff are very knowledgeable about the products and teas that they carry. This location has a cozy and fun environment with seating near the large windows to sit and enjoy a brewed tea. This location is a great community partner and frequently supports local charity and wellness booths which helps you feel good while supporting this quality Canadian business.
I really love coming to this store. The girl that usually helps me is always friendly and giving me the insights on whats new while not being too pushy. She makes sure you get the best product that is suited for you. It is clean and I always get served quickly. They are efficient with sampling and just an overall nice store to go into.
Good tea and pleasant service at this location. They have a wide variety of teas you can brew on the spot or buy it dry in attractive packaging and take home. Makes for a nice gift as holidays get nearer. And, speaking of it getting colder, it's a nice alternative to coffee; excellent selection of caffeine-free teas served here. Recommend stopping in.
Overall this is a pretty great location. Just about any store in uptown Waterloo has a special charm to it. Specific to this store, they have a decent amount of seating making it a really great study spot (Free Wifi too). The staff are very knowledgeable and are excited to speak about tea which makes the experience very special. However recently I was served by a woman who was very dry, a tad rude and did not seem to be very excited to speak about tea. This kind of took away from the experience. Overall, great tea, great location and great staff (most of the time).
I you're one of those people who walks into a David's tea land loves smelling them and wishing you could buy them, don't. It's honestly so not worth it. I bet they spend way more money on the smell rather than the taste of their teas. They smell amazing, but I've yet try one that doesn't leave a gross after taste or just tastes like slightly tea flavored water. NOT. WORTH. THE. OUTRAGEOUS. PRICE.
They do usually have a great service and awesome staff which is nice, but that doesn't count when the product sucks
They have a big selection, but they mostly cater to young, female students as far as I can tell. I bought a sample pack and didn't really like half of the flavors... I think there are better places it there if you're looking for teas with a richer, more subtle flavor.
Firstly, I need to say how I love the teas at Davids Tea. The aromas in the store are phenomenal. I have purchased a teapot here about two years ago.My teapot doesn't get used every day, but it does get a good workout especially with the cooler weather coming on again. My seal on the underside of the lid, had been nicked by much use, and was so delighted when the girl in the store replaced my seal for FREE. Many thanks, I shall be able to once again, Enjoy.
I love DavidsTea, I often go in the morning to get a tea, and I frequently by teas and merchandise as gifts. The store I most frequent is the one in Uptown Waterloo, Ontario. Recently this year there has been a rather rude lady at the store. She seems to be the manager, but she has the worst customer service skills I have seen in a long time. Besides the rude looks and snares, and the feeling that i am a nuisance and should leave ASAP, she often sits at the only table that has an electrical outlet, has long sit down meetings, or uses her own laptop there?! Also did not inform me that I was $1 away from a promotion, and when I noticed, she lied to my face that i was already on that list! Everyone else there is professional and friendly, however.
